Two South Korean fugitives who were wanted in the Philippines for gambling and trafficking drugs have been caught in consecutive operations.
Nam Sundong, who wanted to start gambling operations, was apprehended by the Las Piñas City Fugitive Search Unit.
Furthermore, an Interpol red alert has been issued for him as a result of an Ulsan District Court arrest warrant from 2023. Lee Hyunhak was captured in Clark, Pampanga. He was wanted for allegedly smuggling drugs and intending the importation of 480.85 grams of methamphetamine into Korea with accomplices.
The whole quantity of drugs that were smuggled was P208,000 or 500,000 Korean Won. Nam and Lee’s passports have been canceled by the Korean government, and they are being held at the BI facility in Bicutan, Taguig, while they await deportation.
