Microsoft warns

Microsoft has warned of ongoing attacks on server software that businesses and government organizations use to exchange data within their organizations.

The FBI is collaborating with both federal and private partners and is aware of the attacks.

Only businesses that use SharePoint servers face vulnerability; Microsoft 365’s SharePoint Online avoided the impact.

The Washington Post disclosed a zero-day attack targeting American and foreign organizations and companies.

There were tens of thousands of servers in danger.

Microsoft is developing fixes for SharePoint 2016 and 2019, alongside releasing a security update for the Subscription Edition.

Customers should disconnect servers from the internet if they can’t enable recommended malware protection until a security update becomes available.
