Actors Dingdong Dantes and Kim Atienza led a run against corruption in Ayala, Makati City, on Sunday, September 21, and drew support from fellow celebrities and supporters.

Benjamin Alves, Faith Da Silva, Dasuri Choi, Kim Molina, and Jerald Napoles participated in the activity, along with others. Photos showed the participants wearing black tank tops printed with slogans that called for accountability and an end to corruption.

“This was not our usual Sunday run. Today, our small community gathered not just for distance, but with prayer and intention,” Dantes wrote in a post.

He explained that the run symbolized their hope for a better Philippines. “We hoped. We dreamed. For a corruption-free Philippines. For accountability from those who have stolen from us. And for those attending the big rallies, we lifted them in prayer as well,” he added.

Dantes said the event allowed them to voice their concerns and aspirations for the country while joining the broader call for good governance.

Meanwhile, protesters staged large demonstrations across Metro Manila. Crowds gathered at the People Power Monument for the “Trillion Peso March,” while another rally, “Baha sa Luneta: Aksyon na Laban sa Korapsyon,” took place at Rizal Park in Manila.

The protests responded to allegations of irregular flood control projects now under investigation in Congress and the Senate. Organizers emphasized that the coordinated actions showed the public’s demand for accountability and transparency from government officials.

GMA News Online streamed live updates of the rallies and activities linked to the nationwide anti-corruption movement.
