Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon on Sunday vowed to hold all officials and private collaborators accountable for flood control anomalies, saying authorities will file more cases and carry out additional dismissals in the coming days.

Dizon said investigators already dismissed three DPWH executives, suspended 17 others, and filed cases against 26 personnel linked to alleged ghost or substandard flood control projects in Bulacan. He also accepted the courtesy resignation of an undersecretary and indicated that more resignations could follow.

“We have just begun. We will hold everyone accountable, from top to bottom,” Dizon said.
He explained that investigations revealed recurring patterns of anomalies in Bulacan and warned that similar irregularities could exist in other regions.

Dizon stressed authorities will pursue every ghost and substandard project they uncover.
Acknowledging public skepticism about prosecuting the guilty, he said, “We cannot blame people for doubting. We have seen this happen before. But the President assures us that no one involved in corruption will escape accountability.”

Regarding the ongoing anti-corruption rallies at EDSA and Luneta, Dizon said he would not attend in person but expressed moral support. “We support them in spirit,” he said, reaffirming his commitment to transparency, reform, and strict enforcement within the DPWH.
