Victims of Crising received around P4.1 M in aid from the DSWD after severe tropical storm northeast monsoon’s heavy rains.

The department stored three million food packets nationwide to enable fast distribution during emergencies and natural disasters in affected communities.

Additionally, food pack production has persisted. Before designating evacuation centers, the DSWD ensures that buildings or warehouses are not located in areas prone to hazards.

NROC in Pasay and VDRC in Cebu produce relief items daily to support faster disaster response operations.

To ensure prompt and efficient deployment during emergencies and disasters, the DSWD stocked goods in over 900 warehouses nationwide.

To preposition relief supplies in private storage, the DSWD signed agreements, and the Department of Health supplies the necessary medication.

VP Duterte urges families to prepare for disasters and understand the specific disaster risks present in their local areas.
