Vice Ganda Demands Death Penalty

Vice Ganda called for restoring the death penalty for government officials allegedly linked to anomalous flood control projects.
At the Trillion Peso March program at the People Power Monument along EDSA, she told the crowd, “Ibalik ang death penalty sa mga corrupt. Ikulong pati pamilya nila.”
The “It’s Showtime” host said stealing from the state harms more than ordinary violent crimes and causes widespread suffering among fellow Filipinos.
She argued that corruption inflicts deeper damage on communities than murder or terrorism.
Vice Ganda urged citizens to voice their anger and stop tolerating wrongdoing, saying the era of passive resilience has ended. She declared she would not soften her message and insisted that corrupt actors deserve public outrage.
She directly challenged President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to act, urging him to jail those responsible and recover stolen assets to restore public trust.
“PBBM, upang magkaroon ng magandang legasiya ipakulong mo lahat ng magnanakaw… Bawiin mga ari-arian,” she said.
After marching from the EDSA Shrine, Vice Ganda joined the stage with Anne and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Darren Espanto, Donny Pangilinan, and Jackie Gonzaga.
The performers amplified calls for accountability and urged sustained civic vigilance.
